What is Corundum?
Corundum is a crystalline form of aluminum oxide, and typically containing traces of iron, titanium, vanadium and chromium. It is a rock-forming mineral which makes it ideal for casting into a ceramic stones.
The ratio of corundum to ceramic medium determines the hardness and durability of the sharpening stone.
